Music in a minor key can reflect many emotions and situations. I chose sadness for this song. The music starts with the realization of a person's place in life and what a failure and waste they have been. The triplets represent unseen tears that never stop except during restless sleep and dreams of what might have been. The third variation represents a broken heart that has no future.
