This is "simple melody" 4. I am making up simple melodies in various styles in hopes the you will open the MIDI file and write harmony, instrumentation, counter-melodies, and demonstrate your musical creativity. 4 is a traditional march with opening, first strain with repeat, second strain with repeat, intro to trio in new key, one time through trio, a "dog fight" as break strains are sometimes called, and the final repeat of the trio. You might consider making up a counter-melody any time a strain is repeated. Have fun. I will start sending in my arrangements of these simple melodies towards the end of July, 2021. Have fun.
