I decided to try and make up a musical palindrome. The opening 8 measure phrase is repeated backwards for the second half of the song. I then rest one measure and harmonize both phrases, but the repeated backwards melody has a differnent harmonization then the forwards harmonization. It is too bad the reverse melody just doesn't make much sense. Try it. It is harder than you think.
