This is my GRAND LEGACY MARCH, a Tribute to Joseph L. Frank (he was my high school band director in Richardson, TX) soon to be published. This MP3 is a recording made by Dale Coates and the Mesquite Symphonic Band (an established community band in Mesquite, Texas). The young man playing first chair trumpet, Jarod Blackstock (now on the MUSIC STAFF at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH) was one of my beginners when I taught at FIRST BAPTIST ACADEMY in Dallas. I filled in on bass drum for the recording.
This piece started out as THE JOE FRANK MARCH and it is in MIDI form here on the MIDI Diary. When I sent this more elaborate version to the publisher, they recommended the name change.
