This is a better recording of this march than was posted earlier. Dale Coates was a friend and musician. Little did I know that he would soon die an accidental death shortly after he asked me to compose a clarinet trio for his beginning band (see PERFECTLY CLAR posted on the CMD 03/20/2020). Dale taught at large and small schools as well as private and public schools. When we lost him (for a while) I decided to compose a march in his honor. He was a woodwind player, so I featured the WW section with the horns getting a little honorarium. The first version I sent in did not do justice to the "echo" effect the last time through the trio. This would make a great march for schools still marching six to five like Ennis, Texas or Mineola, Texas. How about Texas A&M?
