This is much, much different from the things that I usually write, but I found that trying to write in a genre that I never write in was oddly freeing and I ended up having a lot of fun putting this song together.
This song is a silly mix of pop and electronica.
I composed the song in standard Midi, using Anvil Studio loaded up with the Magica Soundfont pack, which I highly recommend, since it sounds much nicer than any other free Soundfont package I've ever used. Then, once I completed all of the composition, I loaded the song into Reason, playing around with a lot of different synthesizers and instruments until I finally had a sound I wanted. Then I exported each instrument individually (including each individual drum instrument!) so I could mix them better with Adobe Audition.
