Beneath The Stars, Fire

by Kit Furber

Hi folks. Glad to see someone's still got some love for Midi. After Laura's died I thought it had gone for good. :(

My style's probably a little different to what people are used to - couldn't find anything similar on a quick browse. Someone'll prove me wrong though. :)

I tend to write as if I'm writing for a game project, so most of my tracks will sound like they're out of GBA or early Playstation games. Inspirations include retro gaming (JRPGs in particular), Older pop music (think Texas, not lady Gaga), and Heavy Metal (Iron Maiden in particular).

This particular one was for a 'snow field' environment. Most games seem to treat them like winter wonderlands, rather than freezing deathtraps. So I figured I'd lull people in with the familiar chimes before dropping something a bit heavier on them. Simple, perhaps, but it does the job.
