Governor's Dance

by Joseph Galvan

This piece was part of several chamber works by myself that was evocative of native music. This piece gets its name from the Matachin dances of Mexico, and a specific dance done in honor of the governor of a principality, only performed on certain feast days.

This piece is for piano four hands. It is dedicated to the memory of my grandfather.
